Recorded at the 10th birthday celebrations of legendary Brighton Club the Funkyfish, this was a flashmob style performance by Brighton based streetdance school 'Streetfunk'.All Funkyfish staff and management were aware of the performance but the punters believed it was a bunch of friends having a dance off. That was until the Streetfunk guys started busting some serious moves!
The Funkyfish Club has been going for 10 years and is Brighton's longest running club night, playing 40 years of funky music on 4 decks, an amazing blend of old Soul, Funk, Jazz, Breaks, Ska, Disco, old school Hip Hop and 4 decades of incredibly funky and quirky tunes.
Delimentary, who's track you hear as the bedrock for this routine, is a DJ & Producer from Brighton, his roots are in the music that is the heart & soul of the Funkyfish but he is achieving a great name for himself in the funky breaks scene in the UK and around Europe, North America & Australia as he is famed for his amazing mixes on four decks.
Streetfunk is the South East's number 1 Hip Hop dance provider for children and adults, they provide quality Hip Hop and Street Dance classes for all ages, from age 4-99 years. JP Omari and his Streetfunk team teach regular weekly classes across Brighton, Hove, Portslade and Lewes to children and adults. The team are available for one-off workshops, masterclasses, corporate/private parties, performances and in-school sessions.
