
1.) diversify chords - try to learn all the variations for particular chords, so that you can change it up.
2.) diversify dynamics
3.) have the right hand play both melody as well as melody + chords
4.) use suspensions
5.) change the tempo/intensity (go from playing higher notes sparsely and gently, to playing a more full/louder arrangement during more exciting parts)
6.) interchange certain chords (Dm/F, C/Am) to add variety of feeling
7.) use transitional chords before going to the relative minor. For example: if you're going from G to Am, put a Gb (E major chord) in there as you're walking up the keyboard.
