► More isochronic tones tracks to help increase your ability to memorize information: .
What is this?
This track contains isochronic tones, the repetitive beats behind the music. After about five or six minutes, your brainwaves start to synchronize with the frequency of the tones. Then, as the tones change and cycle up and down through a specific frequency range, your brainwaves follow them. This process is known as brainwave entrainment.
If you are new to this type of audio brainwave entrainment, find out how isochronic tones work here: .
This 3-hour isochronic tones track is used over a more extended study period to help you memorize what you are studying/revising. Once you have mastered and understood the material you are learning, you can use this to help improve your ability to memorize and recall that information by revising and absorbing it while in a heightened Alpha state.
How does this track work?
The track stimulates your brainwaves to increase the activity of the 10.2 Hz frequency in Alpha. Beta is the frequency range you would usually experience while awake and alert during the day, and Alpha is a more relaxed state just below that.
When you are in an Alpha mental state, you feel more relaxed. It is theorized that this relaxed state allows you to gain a more direct route to your subconscious mind, where your brain stores and files information for later recall.
This session is based on a 2006 memory recognition study by Jonathan Williams, Deepa Ramaswamy, and Abderrahim Oulhaj. The study participants were stimulated with a range of different Alpha frequencies. The results peaked at the 10.2 Hz frequency, where participants outperformed the control group in memory recognition by 15%.
How is this session constructed?
This isochronic tones session begins beating at 10.2Hz in Alpha, which holds for 6 minutes. It then ramps sharply to 12Hz at the bottom of Beta, where it holds for 2 minutes before ramping back down to 10.2Hz and repeating the cycle.
The track's primary focus is on boosting your Alpha brainwave activity, but I've also included periodic short bursts of low Beta stimulation to help keep your concentration levels up and prevent you from getting too relaxed and drifting off.
How to use it?
Listen to this track with your eyes open while reading and studying.
Headphones are NOT required
Although headphones are not required, you may find them helpful in blocking out external distractions, especially if you study in a noisy environment.
How loud should the volume be?
The main thing to consider is that it should be loud enough to hear the repetitive isochronic tones, so you don't want it so quiet you can hardly hear them. But you also don't want it so loud that it's uncomfortable for you, hurts your ears, or gives you a headache. I'd recommend starting with the volume around halfway and adjusting it to a level that you feel comfortable with from there.
