Afrika Bamabaataa did not claim to originate Hip Hop in the Bronx. KRS ONE was incorrect about the origins of Hip Hop in the South Bronx. DJ Kool Herc reigns from Treemont not Bronxdale. West Treemont was Savage Skulls hood, not Black Spades hood. The Five Percenters out of Brooklyn had dominated NYC Hip Hop on the radio since 1979. Mr Magic was developed after the World Famous Supreme Team show. The Zulu Nation eventually played on the same station prepared by the Five Percenters. Zulu Nation adopted Hip Hop and are not originators of the genre, according to the actual recordings. Afrika Bambaataa and Zulu Nation were a part of Hip Hop's development, but not originators of the Hip Hop elements, by any stretch of the imagination. Even Bambaataa knew that.
