Spending my 2018 Christmas holiday in Colombia.

It's my first time visiting South America and Colombia was a great introduction.

I started in the Capital of Bogota where I learned about Colombia's rich history and culture doing the 3 hour graffiti bike tour, viewed the city from on top of Monserrate mountain, celebrated the national holiday "Dia de las velitas" which translates to ( Day of little candles) and went to marque de la sal (Salt Cathedral).

I then headed down to the northern coast of Cartagena to see the walled city called old town, the fortress of Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, watched the sunset at Cafe del Mar and bathed in the live mud volcano of El Totumo.

My final stop was Santa Marta where I hung out at the popular night life spot parque de los novios, tubed down the Palomino river and spent a day hiking and enjoying the beautiful beaches of Tayrona National Park.
