Take a break from reality in this Berlin School home studio jam called MOTM (Man On The Moon).

In this Eurorack synth jam, I will be exploring the sounds of three Moog Mavis synthesizers, each set differently, Moog DFAM, Behringer/Moog System 55, Plaits module and an array of guitar pedals used for ambience, delay and reverb effects.

Each single-voice synth is sequenced from the Behringer/Moog 960 sequencer and clocked from the Pam's New Workout module. The outputs are going to a chain of guitar pedals and recorded as a multi-track.

What you hear is a pure improvisation of processing the sound with guitar pedals. None of the sounds were previously recorded, all sounds are being generated by the synths, played by hand or sequenced from 960.

This piece is an original composition, but it's hard not to notice that it is heavily influenced by the pioneers of Berlin School Music from the 1970s like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and others. Also, ever since I was a kid I got heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Jean-Michael Jarre, Kraftwerk, Genesis, Porcupine Tree and you can probably hear some of it in the music I write.
