Upon seeing children tossing the letters into the mailbox, one woman was curious. A child told her that she has proof the mailbox is magical. So she followed the children home.
They live in a modest 3 stories brick house. They kept the property very clean which is a rare sight for villagers. She was invited to stay for dinner. There, she learned that the children's father has passed away at only age 34 from an accident and their mother rarely comes home. She works in the city. The old elderly couple doens't blame the daughter in law. They know how difficult things are.
Their only hope now was for their grandchildren to study well and do well in life. But they study on an old desk, the wall is their blackboard, and their blanket was without a cover. The girls sleep on the same bed as their grandmother.
They rely on growing vegetables and raising livestocks for survival. However, they have a lot of toys and even some unopened ones. Maybe the mailbox was magical. So the woman visited where the mailbox was send to. Turns out, kind people have been reading them and helping out whenever possible.
Obviously not every letters get fulfilled but enough letters get their wishes fulfilled taht the children believe in its magic. Wanting to help, the woman got the children ipads equipped with AI to help them study. This is perhaps the most useful thing given to poor children because they would be able to use it to learn and study. Much like a private tutor. They can also use it to learn English and expand their career potential.
