Medicine Singers & Yonatan Gat return to the Pioneer Works universe for the first time since their legendary inaugural Graveyard Shift performance at Green-Wood Cemetery with a program curated by Gat & his Stone Tapes label. On September 24th, the Medicine Singers will return with an epic lineup of collaborators to celebrate the release of their new album, out now on Stone Tapes. The evening will feature Medicine Singers enhanced by Jaimie Branch, Thor Harris, Christopher Pravdica, Laraaji, Lee Ranaldo and Gat. Also, in Stone Tapes’ spirit of collaboration between radical experimental and radical traditional musicians, the show will be opened by two site specific collaborations between Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth / Hassan Ben Jafaar of Innov Gnawa (Duo) & Laraaji / Mamady Kouyate of Bembeya Jazz (Duo) performing site specific performances set to take place inside Charles Atlas’ Mathematics of Consciousness video exhibition in the main hall of Pioneer Works.***
