Elliot Mintz, a close friend and former spokesperson for John Lennon and Yoko Ono, recently published We All Shine On: John, Yoko and Me, which provides a terrifying look into the days before Lennon's untimely death. Mintz claims that Ono was warned that Lennon's life was in danger in New York City before to his death on December 8, 1980, but she was helpless to prevent him from meeting his inevitable end. In an excerpt provided to The Times, Mintz describes a discussion in which he questioned Ono's use of consultants, considering the terrible incident that none of them had been able to foresee.
