Why there's no BRIDGE between Ireland and Great Britain #short

Transcript:
Why isn't there a bridge between Ireland and Great Britain when they're so close? Building a bridge might seem like an obvious solution, right? The idea of an Irish Sea Bridge goes way back to Victorian times. But here's the thing, there are four possible routes: the Kintyre route, the Irish Mail route, the Tusar route, and the most likely one, the Galloway route. This bridge would stretch across the North Channel between Northern Ireland and Scotland, spanning about 45 km. But there's a big obstacle: Beaufort's Dyke, a trench that's 300 meters deep. Because of its depth and its proximity to the Cairnryan military port, Beaufort's Dyke became the United Kingdom's largest offshore dump site for surplus conventional and chemical munitions after the Second World War. Considering all this, the whole project it is estimated that a bridge would cost £335 billion, and a tunnel £209 billion. So, is it really worth it?
