Out on November 24th is "Юг [South]", a brand new single by the post-punk/new wave band Giant Waves.

"Юг [South]" represents yet another offering from the band's upcoming album, underscoring their exceptional talent in crafting emotive, melodious compositions that effortlessly merge elements of post-punk, gothic rock, and new wave. In addition, this release includes a rare acoustic version of their earlier track, "Light to the World," originally featured on the album "The Right Heart" (2017).

Formed in 2012 following the disbandment of their previous gothic rock project, Imaginary Stigma, Giant Waves have released two full-length albums and several EPs to date. Their unique eclectic blend of post-punk and new wave has garnered widespread acclaim from critics and fans worldwide, drawing comparisons to notable acts like Big Country, Lords of the New Church, and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Giant Waves is also recognized for their cold-pop side project called Karluv Tyn, which has been credited as one of the pioneers of doomerwave, alongside Molchat Doma.
