Remastered by Andy Pearce the music sounds fantastic and it is great to have all of these albums together especially with the Live 1988 album.White Lion were blessed with one of the best guitarists of the period Vito Bratta, his playing here is just stunning. White Lion also had a deeper social conscious than many bands of the period and I feel they deserved to have been more successful.
Where it falls down (to me) is again there is no booklet just a foldout poster.
I know from reviews on Amazon and elsewhere that I am not the only one who feels that these labels do not understand the market they are selling to.
The people who still by physical music are collectors and the presentation is part of the package. If you are going to charge £25 for these box sets then a booklet giving the buyer an overview of the band with some historical context is very important and adds value to the package. Otherwise, these 5CD sets are no diffident than the 'Original Albums Sets' which sell for a lot less.
As I said the music is 10/10 presentation 5/10
