In this video we demonstrate how you can use a 4MP or higher camera that is mounted above a cash register or retail store counter to monitor and look at currency. You can utilize a camera with a fixed lens and digital zoom to get an overview of the currency. Even better you can use a camera with motorized zoom to set the camera to a closer zoom to get more clarity of the bills. Combining digital zoom and optical zoom is the best way to capture currency in retail applications.
