A wildfire erupted in the area between Saint-André and Argelès-sur-Mer late Monday afternoon, August 14.Thousands were evacuated from holiday campsites in Saint-André, Sorède, and the city of Argelès near the Spanish border. Pyrénées-Orientales fire crews were able to contain the fire early Tuesday.
