Jean-Michel Basquiat, Muhammad Ali, Kobe Bryant, Nipsey Hustle and many more ... We celebrate Black History through the voices of famous artists Taj and Tiffanie Anderson with a virtual round table honoring Black Icons, moderated by Art Curator Nausicaa from #TheCoolHeART .

This February, we celebrate Black History with our art gallery #TheCoolHeART. Black History remembrance originates in a week long recognition initiated by Carter G. Woodson in 1926. Now Black History Month has grown and is celebrated internationally. On February 25th, as we remember the first black U.S. senator, Hiram R. Revels (1822-1901), who took his oath of office on that day in 1870, we have organized a virtual round table featuring two incredible artists of the gallery, Taj and Tiffanie Anderson (The Pretty Artist).

Their artworks showcased on the walls of the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills lobby are an homage to the city of Los Angeles, its colors, its inhabitants, its lifestyle, its strengths and weaknesses, its virtues and its vices. Inspired by the current pandemic and social context, they pay tribute to famous black figures, past and present, who have done so much for the black community.

Moderated by #TheCoolHeART art curator and Sofitel Los Angeles’ longtime partner Nausicaa, the two famous artists have discussed their story, their inspirations, the BLM movement and more.
