Sometimes it feels as if we are moving like clockwork through life. Deep inside we are feeling intense emotions but we have to keep going like a wind-up toy. Life’s demands are relentless and the only time that we can relax is when the mechanism starts to unwind.With this piece I tried to use the mechanical nature of MuseScore playback and the repetition of simple chords to reinforce this mechanical relentless state. I feel that it is an idea that I have only started to explore - and it may be something that I try to improve on in the future.
