Since their formation in late 2017, Portobello have developed a unique musical style, influenced by the likes of Tom Misch, Jamiroquai, and Ady Suleiman, resulting in a sound that combines the elements of funk, neo-soul, and indie genres. Portobello’s debut single ‘Money’ was recorded at Park Studios. Boasting intricate drum fills, slick guitar, and funky basslines under soulful vocal melodies, ‘Money’ is emblematic of the band’s funkier and more upbeat side. Portobello released their self-titled debut EP in December 2019, made up of 4 diverse tracks exhibiting the different musical influences and styles of all band members. December also saw the band play as part of the 'B29 Tour', headlining the final sell-out show in London.
