Ngeroras is the the last ceremony after someone passes away, and ensures a smooth return of the spirit into the Spiritual World. The occasion is also used for the tooth filling ritual (not shown in here) and the subsequent steps in which people transit from the adolescent, coarse, "animalesque" stage of life into a human, polite, adulthood. The most important steps of the evening and morning ceremonies are shown in here, along with some bits of entertainment.
All the footage was filmed in Tulamben (Karangasem, Bali, Indonesia) with BMPCC 6k, Venus Laowa 12 F/2.8 on top of DJI Ronin S.
I used Braw 6K 3.1 and compressed for Ultra HD (commonly known as 4k, but not really so) for uploading.
Cut and graded in Davinci Resolve 16.
