Morning modular jam with the Digitakt and the OXI One! What started as a simple generative ambient piece quickly turned into a full blown tribal trance... The modular is both the bassline and the foundation and the Digitakt is triggering the drums and a few samples to add context. It's amazing what can come when you push your work further than you thought you would go.Some ideas for you!
☑️ One approach for modular might be to not think about the end goal in mind, at least at the beginning. Allow the piece to develop a life of it's own and then see if you can start to move it towards something that sounds tangible and full of life.
☑️ The big decision moment in this piece is when I switched my cable from everything going directly out to putting every sound in the modular behind my filter and then sending that to the output. The whole piece opened up after that. With MATHS still driving the frequency, it provided enough randomness to still build a foundation on.
☑️ Feeling is the secret! If you can feel your way towards your desired reality, it will manifest.
