So these are scary figures. But unfortunately when almost 4 weeks after our current single has been released and you see only 10.2% of your followers have bothered to listen the new song you are pretty convinced this is not only accurate but actually extremely sad. Now if you have got this far reading, good on you. Because my guess is no one reads these days either. But here’s the kicker. The above figures are made up. Except for our follower stats. As someone said to me last night. “Sometimes you just feel like you’re screaming into the void” and I think @weywardmusic (musician doing it tough) is right. Music has been lost to the cheap thrill of visual content.
For us that create it. Just listening, as we craft a song, conjures up far more vivid images than will ever be on a screen. Our hope is to pass that experience on and trigger your imagination. But if you’re happy to be spoon fed snippets with flashy images then I guess we’ll just fade away.
