Introducing a modernized ECL Watch

With the release of HPCC Systems platform 9.0 in March, 2023 there have been numerous improvements introduced including a modernization of the user interface ECL Watch.

This video briefly introduces these ECL Watch improvements and is a quick overview of why it should be a very easy transition from the previous edition of ECL Watch.

We illustrate how these new ECL Watch improvements are currently available starting with the recent releases of HPCC Systems platform version 8 and later, as a tech preview, and show how to access it.

It then illustrates the common elements from the updated user interface – and how they were designed to retain as much muscle memory built up from previous renditions of ECL Watch.

Highlighting some more of these new improvements, such as the flattening of the user interface, eliminating excessive nesting of tabs. The tabs are now shareable and can be linked to via the expanded and improved navigation / address bar functionality. Improved and designed for easier more intuitive navigation. Including filtered values and the tabs can be docked and shared. We demonstrate the improved functionality of the history list and the forward and back buttons and how you can save places as favorites even filtered searches and return to the exact place.
