My late great best friend Mike turned me on to The Police way back in 1979. We were preteens just starting to appreciate all different types of music. "Voices" dropped in 1980 on the Police's epic third studio album 'Kenyatta Mondatta' and was an absolute banger from the very first spin. A few years later I remembered Mike & I hearing this tune at a downtown Detroit new wave bar called "The City Club." That night at The City Club was so amazing, I remember hearing so many new (to me) songs and it will be forever etched in my musical memory bank. (Good Times)
