The family of a young Quebec boy who nearly drowned claim doctors in Montreal gave up on their son – but say they’ve found new hope south of the border.

Arthur Tetrault, 2, was found lifeless in the pool of a home in the family was renting back in October. His father says doctors were ready to pull the plug.

After doing his own research, his father found a specialist in hyperbaric oxygen treatment who claims to have had promising results in young victims of brain injuries.

But hyperbaric treatment isn’t approved in Canada to treat drowning victims, so the family did everything they could to get their son to New Orleans.
Dan Spector reports.
