-- FR -- Chronique du 5ème et passionnant album studio Wilhelm du groupe français DECLINE OF THE I paru le 14/02/2025 chez @AgoniaRec. Composé de seulement 5 morceaux, ce chef d'oeuvre des Parisiens constitue le second volet de cette nouvelle trilogie commencé avec Johannes (2021). Wilhelm aborde l'éthique, dans la philosophie élaborée par le Danois Søren Kierkegaard. Sombre, progressif, plein de nuances avec une approche presque théâtrale, c'est à la fois sombre, froid, noir, mais organique. Du grand art de la part de nos amis français ! Pour fans de DEATHSPELL OMEGA, BLUT AUS NORD (période ambiant/indus), EROS NECROPSIQUE... Note finale : 4/5.

Composed of only 5 tracks, this masterpiece by the Parisians constitutes the second part of this new trilogy started with Johannes (2021). Wilhelm addresses ethics, in the philosophy developed by the Danish Søren Kierkegaard. Dark, progressive, full of nuances with an almost theatrical approach, it is at the same time dark, cold, black, but organic. Great art from our French friends! For fans of DEATHSPELL OMEGA, BLUT AUS NORD (ambient/industrial period), EROS NECROPSIQUE... Final score : 4/5.
