cooking mama is a japanese video game series and media franchise owned by cooking mama limited. the series is a cookery simulation-styled minigame compilation of many video games and adventures for nintendo gaming platforms. generally, the gameplay revolves around performing different kitchen tasks, through the instructions of "mama", to cook various meals. the series so far consists of five main games on nintendo ds and nintendo 3ds, two spin-offs on wii, two spin offs on ds, and a spin off on 3ds. it also spins off into the gardening mama series. the original cooking mama game was also ported to ios. a sixth main series game, cooking mama: cookstar, was briefly released on the nintendo switch eshop on march 31, 2020, but was taken down hours later due to legal issues. whether the game will be properly released or not is currently unknown. on march 26, 2021 the game was released on the playstation store.

papa louie is the main protagonist of papa louie's franchise of the platformer and restaurant time-management games. he made his first appearance in papa louie: when pizzas attack!. papa louie is a series of video games commonly referred to as a variety of restaurant management game type gameria starting with papa's pizzeria on the computer. there are apps for android and ios for these games because the main engine of these games, adobe flash player, ceases to function from january 2021.papa louie is a series of restaurant management games where the player has to fulfill the orders of the customers by preparing the dishes according to their wishes. to do this, the player must navigate between four places (stations) of the restaurant, sometimes three, while managing several orders simultaneously. in each game, four criteria will be evaluated (the most common being customer wait time), each on a scale of 100%. depending on the final score obtained, the customer will tip more or less, ranging from $ 0 to $ 3. each customer has an order that is specific to him, so the player will have to memorize this order in case the customer returns. by completing an order with a final score of 80 out of 100 or higher, the customer will receive one star and become a star customer at the fifth star achieved.
