These are the 6 countries where the presidents or leaders were assassinated since the year 2000. In Africa, the assassinations happened in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea-Bissau, and Libya which is the most recent one from 2011. The only Asian country is Nepal, where in 2001 the king was killed. In Europe, there was an assassination of the Serbian prime minister in 2003. And the most recent killing of a president took place in Haiti in 2021.
