Leicester-based band, New Age, stands as one of the overlooked gems from the eighties post-punk music scene, deserving far more recognition. “All The Monkey’s Aren’t In The Zoo, Marylou (1982)” is a sonic masterpiece, brimming with infectious riffs and electrifying drum patterns. Moreover, the band makes good use of synthesizers. New Age released two singles: “Jane Fonda” (1981) and “Livin’ For Now” (1982) and one full-length studio album, all under the label Dining Out.
