"Today" is a folk song that was an originally hit for an American large-ensemble folk music group "New Christy Minstrels" in 1964. The song was written by the group's founder, Randy Sparks.
In 1974, American singer songwriter, John Denver, sung the song and "An Evening with John Denver" is the first live album by John Denver. It was recorded in 1974 in Los Angeles California and released in 1975. He was backed by an orchestra conducted by Lee Holdridge. Denver's manager, Milton Okun, was the album's music producer.
