兵庫県神戸市出身。
ヒップホップをベースとした従来のサンプリング手法に加え、ギター、ベース、鍵盤など複数の楽器を演奏し多重録音で楽曲を制作する音楽家。
近年は、ビートにダブやジャズの要素を取り込んだ3人組音楽ユニット”OVERFALL”での活動も海外ライブを実現させるなど盛んに行なっている。
Leo Iwamura is from Kobe, in Hyogo Prefecture. As a versatile musician, he doesn't limit himself to traditional hip-hop sampling techniques. He enriches his compositions by playing and recording multiple instruments, including guitar, bass, and keyboards.
In recent years, Leo has also distinguished himself as part of the musical trio “OVERFALL,” a project that blends dub and jazz elements into their beats. The group has enjoyed growing success and has even performed internationally, demonstrating their influence beyond Japanese borders.
