In this interview, Arshan sat down with New York City based band Laundry Day in a classroom of Beacon High School (the same high school rapper Jay Critch went to), where they all met, and it all started! The band dives into the story of how they met and their path navigating their way through the music industry early on, while still in high school, ignoring being called corny by classmates as they put their all into promoting their music. Sparked by having their music featured on Genius’ page back in 2018, the band began to catch some momentum that has since evolved into having songs like “FRIENDS” being featured on Netflix’s show ‘On My Block’ to Drake reposting their music & hanging out with him & Justin Bieber recently. While their music consistently reaches new heights, their presence online only continues to grow thanks to HUGE viral moments on TikTok where the band covers their favorite songs like Frank Ocean’s verse from “No Church in the Wild” which went crazy viral to now where they link up with artists like PinkPantheress, FKA Twigs, & Aminé to cover their songs with them. As the band continues to leap from one viral moment to another, they gear up to drop a new album and tour it!
