In this video we will look at how to use equation of a quadratic to sketch the graph. A positive x-squared means the graph is U shaped, whereas a negative x-squared is n shaped. When a quadratic is solved (either by factorising, using the formula or by completing the square) we end up with roots. It may be one or two roots. These values are where the quadratic crosses the x-axis. The single 'c' value from the initial quadratic equation (as long as it's equal to 0) is the y-intercept. You can then make a rough sketch of what the quadratic looks like, marking on the x-intercepts (the roots from solving) and the y-intercept (from the equation).
