In this video I’ll be trying out the food items of only those particular shops which were established before India’s independence, i.e., before the year 1947. India has changed drastically over the years after we gained are independence back in 1947, but some popular food joints have passed the test of time as they have been upholding their strong position even after decades of change. Since, India’s 79th Independence Day is around the corner, I decided to dig deep into the history of many popular food shops so that I could try out the food items that these shops served even before India was an independent country. I was able to find a number of old shops in Delhi, who for decades, have been serving various food items including but not limited to aloo tikki, dal makhni and fruit kulfi. Surprisingly, all these food items were extremely flavourful and unique in their own way. I had a great time trying out these food items.
