MIT has unveiled a prototype hydrogel-based atmospheric water harvester that thrives where others falter. Tested in Death Valley, this device draws moisture from the air without needing a single watt of electricity. This process has produced up to 161.5 millilitres of clean water daily in one of the planet's most inhospitable places.
