Surprised I actually convinced Em to do this 😜 I can't believe how heavy their shell is! Fun fact: the oldest giant tortoise in the world is currently 192 years old! (That means he would have been 28 years old when Abraham Lincoln was elected!) This makes him the oldest living land animal. He lives on the island of Saint Helena, but there are many old giant tortoises in the Galapagos Islands too.
Our guide told us that giant tortoises can go up to a year without food or water!! Which I didn't even know was possible!
