Hello everything! Here we go again with 17 wonderful sydes from the doomed sixties! (13th volume, bad luck!)
Let’s dig out what we can find about these ones!

A1- The Night People was a band from Olney IL, formed at Olney College in the mid-sixties. This is their only single, issued in 1967. Sadly, most of the copies were unsold and thrown away.
- Tuggie Records - 126 (1967)

A2- The Blue Chips was a band from Rego Park distict, New York City. “Where”, the other side to this, is an amazing punk track, but this one is almost as good! The band included Jeff Lane, Jeffrey Simon and Paul Teitelbaum.
- Roaring Records 804 (1967)

A3- Delirium was a band from Mechanicsville, New York. They issued one single on the same label as The Heathens’s ‘The Other Way Around’. The other side: “Never Comin’ Home” is a real kick off too!
- Vibra – L-136 (Jan 1967)

A4- The Ghosters was a band from Kalamazoo, MI, named after the term "Ghoster" that was an expression used by soldiers in the VietNam War. Soldiers who didn't want to work hid when the sergeants came around for work details. These guys were referred to as "Ghosters" because, like ghosts, they disappeared! Members were ; Mike Lewis, Don Jobe, Virg Callendar, Brian Steinke, and Guy Berley. This is their fifth single.
- Ghost Records G-102 (1969)

A5- The Jades was a late garage band that played garage when everybody had stopped to do so! They were from Memphis, TN, and cut one exemplary single in 1970 (check the other side!) The songs were written by Doug Ashbrook and William Richardson.
- Camaro – 45-3413 (1970)

A6- The Jaguars was a band from San Jose, California. They cut three nice singles on their own Jaguar Records and this one (their first) was picked for national release by Dot Records in 1966. The song featured here is a cover of the famous The Ideals doo-wop song, issued in 1962.
- Jaguar Records – J-101 (1966)

A7- Kriss Kross And The Hollywood Angles is a mystery band from Hollywood, CA. They issued this lone single on Royal Crest records. The song was written by Jack Moon Elliott, one of the main producers of the label, and had apparently played it himself as Daddy Love in 1966.
- Royal Crest – RCR-178 (1967)

A8- Pepper Swift is a mystery band that apparently issued two singles in the mid sixties. Nothing more is known. But dig this nice garage track with sax!
- Whirlaway – 10-003 (date unknown)

B1- The Prophets is a mystery band that issued only one single on Prae records, located in Anchorage Alaska! They sure knew how to play a drum break!
- Prae Records – 45-100 (1965)

B2- The Wild Ones are a band from El Paso, featuring Terry Manning, who would later form Lawson & Four More. “I Want To Be Friendly” (the other side) is also a killer and was compiled on Punk Classics #4.
- Suemi Records – ST 4555 (1966)

B3- Roger Binninghof issued this sole single in the mid-sixties. He also wrote songs for Jacky Gordon in 1966.
- Minaret – MI-122 (around 1965)

B4- Simon T. Stokes has been already featured in the Vol. 7 of this series but I’ll repeat the notes here: he is famous for his three different recordings of his “Big City Blues”, and later for being in the Perpetual Motion Workshop band, with David Briggs. He was also a writer for the Elektra label. I really dig this song and I especially dig the “Hey you, get out of my cave” lyrics!
- Warrior Records SM-1007/1008 (1966)

B5- The Sonics (not the one from Tacoma) is a mystery band that issued two singles around 1966. Their song “Introduction To The Sonics” was compiled on Ho-Dad Hootenanny!
- Courtn’ 5012/5013 (around 1966)

B6- We’ve already met The Todes in the Vol. 12, with their killer unreleased track “Heartbreaker”. They were from Provo, UT.
- Emanon Records - E-102 (1966)

B7- The Toffees is a mystery band, probably from the US/Mexico border. This song was also played by The Renaissance in 1966, but it is uncertain who played the song first.
- Fantastic! - 500 (date unknown)
