In this advanced 3D vfx tutorial, we’ll explore how to create a CG Ocean with realistic surface reflections inside Fusion’s native 3D system, using a combination of Fast Noises as Displacement Maps and Bump Maps , to get a similar result as to what you would get out of Blender’s Cycles. You’ll learn how to set up a Spherical Camera for the rendering reflections, and connecting these to SphereMaps for realistic shading. This technique is never before seen in a Resolve or Fusion tutorial, and it’s crazy that this has been possible to do all this time. It’s extremely useful for both VFX and Motion Graphics. Take that, After Effects!
Anyways, thank you for checking out the video, leave a comment on what you want to see in the future!

I am using the Blackmagic Fusion Standalone application, but everything I do here can be done in the Fusion page of DaVinci Resolve.
