In our life, we will experience many sorrows. But count it all joy when you experience trails of many kinds. Because we also glory in our sufferings knowing that suffering produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame (John 16:33, James 1:2, Romans 5:3-5). It is one thing to know this reality, and another thing to believe it. While much can be said on this subject, one thing is for certain: the Bible does not view suffering as a sentimentality; yet it offers a robust vision of hope. Let's explore how that works throughout the Bible and where it finds its conclusion.
