🌵 Things to Do in Sedona, Arizona 🌵
00:42 - Stay at Sky Rock Sedona
The Sky Rock Sedona Hotel offers some truly impressive views. Some of the rooms lead out to a shared communal terrace, which is great for enjoying either sunrise or sunset.
01:55 - Hike the Adobe Jack Trail
The Adobe Jack Trail is an easy loop trail with views of red rocks. I went on a sunset hike which led to a beautiful viewpoint.
03:55 - Have Dinner at Stagecoach Country Roadhouse
This restaurant is all about BBQ and smoked meats. I got their sampler board loaded with ribs, pulled pork, sausage and more.
04:51- Do Sunrise Yoga with Aumbase
We started off with a hike to a scenic lookout and then enjoyed sunrise yoga with impressive views.
06:34 - Go on a Vortex Hike
Many travellers come to Sedona to explore the destination’s famous energy vortexes. These are considered conducive to meditation, self-introspection and healing. I joined a guided hike with Pete Sanders who talked more about this topic.
07:49 - Have Lunch at Rascal Modern American Diner & Bar
This is a modern twist on the classic American diner experience. The best part is they’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I got the Rascal Wagyu Burger which was a behemoth. A filling meal if I’ve ever seen one!
08:34 - Make Ceramics at Rovang Ceramics
This is a fun place to come with an open mind and play with clay. Your piece doesn't have to be a work of art - it's more about enjoying the process.
09:55 - Visit Tlaquepaque Village
This is an outdoor shopping centre fashioned after a traditional Mexican village. There are more than 50 cafes, galleries and restaurants, all nestled under
the shade of sycamore trees.
11:42 - Dinner at El Rincoń
This restaurant serves Mexican food and Navajo food. It’s been around since ‘76 and it’s a favourite spot in Sedona. I ended up getting the chimichangas. I ordered it with shrimp and it came loaded with cheese, sour cream and a side salad.
12:41 - Lending a helping hand with Volunteer Sedona
If you'd like to give back to Sedona during your visit, there are a myriad of ways to do so. I spent the morning picking up trash along Oak Creek.
14:06 - Tour Page Springs Cellars
I went on a guided winery tour, took part in a wine tasting and also had a wonderful meal. I started off with the charcuterie board featuring an assortment of smoked meats and cheeses. That was followed by a wood-fired fig and prosciutto pizza with goat cheese, arugula, walnuts and a hot honey drizzle.
16:11 - Have Dinner at Mole Mexican Kitchen
I got the mole con pollo asado for my main. They also have a nice variety of cocktails if you’re looking for something fun.
16:39 - Hike Cathedral Rock Trail and Templeton Trail
On my last morning in Sedona, I had just enough time to tackle one more hike. I started off on the Cathedral Rock Trail which also splits into the Templeton Trail. I would say these are two good options depending on whether you’re looking for something more adventurous or easy. The Cathedral Rock Trail is a bit more challenging and does involve some scrambling, so be prepared to be on your hands and knees. Meanwhile, the Templeton Trail is a bit more moderate yet rewards you with beautiful views. The choice is yours!
17:46 - Final thoughts on visiting Sedona, Arizona
There are so many different things to do in Sedona and it's fair to say that I only scratched the surface. I'd love to come back and see more of the destination!
