The global food sector is responsible for around 30% of energy consumption and needs to decarbonise. To achieve this, significant action across the food value chain is required to address Scope 3 emissions. How can this be done while maintaining productivity?

This webinar outlines how working collaboratively across the food value chain with a focus on energy productivity and systems innovation can deliver decarbonisation and multiple other business and sector benefits. It will present research and insights from a RACE for 2030 project on this topic, led by the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity and project partners Climate-KIC Australia and UTS, with support from RACE for 2030 and AgriFutures Australia. Industry consultation for the project and models for mobilising collaborative action will be presented with stakeholders invited to provide feedback and participate in subsequent project phases.

Presenters:
Alan Pears - Technology Innovation Lead, Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity & RMIT
Belinda Whelan - Director, Strategic Projects - Climate-KIC Australia
Melissa Edwards - Director of the Executive MBA program and Research Director of the Centre for Business and Sustainable Development, UTS Business School
