📌 Save & share this with someone who enjoys spring in NYC.
🌸 NYC’s largest borough offers some of the most photogenic scenes during the spring.
🌸 According to the NYC Parks Department, across the city the three most common types are the Okame, Yoshino and Kwanzan.
🌸 The flowers go through various stages from buds to their final bloom over approximately one week, but the peak bloom can occur overnight.
🌸 If you want to catch them at their fullest, you need to be ready!
- Magnolia’s: Mid to late March
- Pink and White Yoshino Cherry Blossoms: Late March to late April
- Japanese flowering cherry “kwanzan” or “kanzan” blossoms: Mid-April to late May
