This radical approach to nightlife would change the way people understood clubbing (similar to how nightclubs like The Haçienda in Manchester did) and was all due to the pioneering methods of operating these nightclubs as well as the musical selection, where styles such as Synth Pop, EBM, New Wave, Gothic Rock, New Beat, and Chicago House could coexist in the same night.
Later on, in the mid-90s, as a victim of its own success, "La Ruta," which had been ignored and misunderstood by the mass media during its most glorious years, became the focus of attention under the infamous label of 'La Ruta del Bakalao,' which ultimately led to years of socio-cultural and musical decline.
This set is dedicated to the Sonido de Valencia and to all the artists and promoters of the Valencian nightlife who made this transcendental movement possible through their desire to express and innovate.
