Creepy Background Ambience DMCA-free. Harrowing ambience vaguely inspired by Alan Wake 2 and maybe some Silent Hill 2 remake, which I haven't played yet. The idea was to create something uncomfortable that doesn't resolve or move anywhere, just sits there building tension and that increasing itch just behind the eye. Comprised mostly of layers and layers of vocals and choirs droning endlessly, with some movement and dynamic, sure, but never the full release. One of the fun things I like doing and done a lot here is to split select layers in L-R channels and pitch shift them separately just within a semitone from one another. It creates this great subtle rub that's reeeeeally uncomfortable on prolonged listening. Just a touch of broken down piano, a sprinkle of assorted noises and sound effects from my collection and voila.
Also it's sort of a seamless loop. It gets worse every time.
