
In this project, I made a simple solar street light using a 6V 100mA solar panel (connected in parallel) to charge a 3.7V lithium-ion battery. The circuit features automatic switching when it gets dark, eliminating the need for manual control.
Components Used:
Solar Panel (6V, 100mA)
Lithium-Ion Battery (3.7V)
IRFZ44N MOSFET (for automatic switching)
1N4007 Diode (prevents reverse current)
10kΩ Resistor
Working Principle:
During the daytime, the solar panel charges the battery.
When it's dark, the MOSFET automatically turns on, allowing power to flow to the LED/light.
The diode prevents backflow, ensuring efficient charging.
This is a low-cost and efficient solar lighting system, ideal for small outdoor areas, pathways, or garden lighting.
