'Come home to me' was originally composed as 'Innesfrie' & released on Caitlin's 2015 Celtic album 'The Promise'. Having re-written some of the lyrics and paired the song with photographs sent in by family, friends and subscribers to www.caitlingrey.com, Caitlin and Neil have created a beautifully moving and heartfelt tribute to the strength of the human spirit in times of conflict. The photographs span two world wars and beyond.
Caitlin would like to thank everyone who sent in precious pictures of loved ones who served, fought and died in the terrible conflicts of the 20th century. In particular, in commemoration of its centenary, we pay tribute to those who suffered so terribly in WWI.
All photographs used with kind permission of friends and family from across the globe. Sent in by Caitlin's music chums from all over the world, there are photographs from many nationalities, all demonstrating the same indomitable resolve of ordinary people when called upon to do extraordinary things. This is a tribute to the amazing strength of ordinary people. It has been a privilege to make this video & so my sincere thanks to everyone involved.
