Microsoft's flagship event, streamed on May 24, was opened by Satya Nadella, Microsoft's Chairman and CEO, who highlighted in his opening remarks the collaboration with Ferrovial on the connected highways project, AIVIA Smart Roads. Ferrovial is using the Microsoft Azure for Operators solution for the development of its smart highways system. The main objective of AIVIA is to develop infrastructures and technologies that ensure the coexistence of conventional and autonomous vehicles, as well as to obtain maximum benefits from all types of automated and autonomous vehicles.
