The Gypsy is the first track from Caitlin's second album 'The Promise'.
It's an original song inspired by the traditional English folk songs of the 19th century telling tales of gypsy folklore.

...I love all things folklore-inspired, so writing this this song was a joy, but it holds a special place in my heart for another reason. If you listen very carefully, in the middle section, you can hear a dog barking. That's my little JRT (who is no longer with us). He used to curl up & go to sleep under the studio desk. This one day though, he decided he wanted to be on the song, so barked his head off during recording! We left him in. :-) Love, Caitlin xxx
