Ever wondered how wind turbine technicians climb towers over a thousand feet high for maintenance? Let's break it down. These massive, pipe-like towers are made from thick iron sheets and are actually hollow inside. Technicians get to the top either by an elevator-like lift or an aluminum ladder, known as a nacelle ladder, installed within the tower. Inside the nacelle, you'll find generators, gearboxes, and other essential tools. After completing any repairs, technicians get the turbine running again. It’s a risky job, but the pay definitely matches the challenge!
