Here are the top 3 restaurant ingredients that I think are so overrated. 

1. Truffle Oil:
Truffles are delicious, but spritzing some oil on a dish just to raise the price $20 is a total ripoff. 

2. Wagyu Beef:
Spending that kind of money on one piece of protein is nuts to me. You could make that money go a lot further on food that's just as good. 

3. Lobster:
Sure, it's good, but is it worth the price you pay? Absolutely not. if you're getting seafood, get enough to actually fill you up. 

I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but, in my mind, there are so many better foods you can spend your hard-earned money on.
