The Titans couldn't miss from the field in the first frame, shooting 63.6% from the field (7-11) and 60.0% from behind the 3-PT line (3-5). A Cardinal Stritch surge in the quarter's final minutes kept things close, with the Titans leading 19-14.
OG's defense is no joke, that was the story line of the second quarter. Giving up just four Cardinal points, the Titans outscored Cardinal Stritch 15-4 to take a 34-18 lead into halftime.
Colin White (OG) led all-scorers in the first half with 11 points, along with 4 rebounds, and picked up right where he left off to start the second half. White would finish the night with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal.
The Titans showed just how well-balanced they are as a unit though, with four players finishing in double-digits, Maag (11) - Stechschulte (14) - White (15) - Erford (12).
Cardinal Stritch would outscore OG in the fourth quarter 18-15, but could not trim the deficit that was created during the first three quarters. Christian Burton led the Cardinals with 13 PTS, 6 REB and 6 AST. Breon Hicks added 10 PTS, 1 REB and 1 STL.
The Titans walked off the Stroh Center court with a 62-43 victory and will take on Wayne Trace this Saturday in the Div. 3 Regional Final at 1:00 PM back at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
