This video covers how I dealt with music labels rejecting and not listening to my music. As a producer, you can feel super discouraged after waiting for a few weeks for a label to listen and respond to your demo, and of course, the dreaded rejection is also a bummer. In this journey we have chosen, we need to let our ego not take control and rethink why we were rejected.
I like to look back at the songs I finished and sent out and ask myself what could have been done better and write notes. Do I fix it? NO, I'm usually in a different head space after a few months, but I do learn from it and accept the reasons for the rejection. How else do we grow if we don't take the result?
I go over 3 of my rejected songs and what I could have done better and share my thoughts on why they didn't find a home. One of them is honestly one of my favorite tracks I've made.
